Our Mission

To Impact, Transform, & Empower people for Christ

Impacting:

Evangelism:  Jesus brought Good News.  He offers an eternal, personal relationship to any person who chooses to become His follower.  He offers forgiveness to every person who asks.  We want people in our community and around the world to have the opportunity to make the commitment to become genuine Christ-followers.

Transforming:

Discipleship:  The Christian life is a process.  It begins when we make the choice to follow Jesus Christ.  It continues as we continue to learn His values, purposes for our life, and as we follow Him in humble obedience.  Jesus said, "Simply put, if you're not willing to take what is dearest to you, whether plans or people, and kiss it good-bye, you can't be my disciple."  (Luke 14:33 The Message)  The leadership of Zion desires to assist believers become all that our heavenly Father has intended for us to become.  Worship, Sunday School, Bible studies and special seminars are part of that design for disciple making.

Empowering:

Training:  The Bible teaches what the Holy Spirit gives each Christ-follower a special gift.  We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. (Romans 12:6 NIV)  Those gifts sare purposefully given.  As individuals use their gifts according to God's plan, His work makes progress.  Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.  First Peter 4:10 NIV).  The leadership of Zion encourages each believer use their gift and talents - both within the ministries of Zion as well as in the community.
